To make it short, Amon Amarth's "Versus the World" is easily one of the greatest 21st century death metal albums of all time. Amon Amarth doesn't change their sound, as I've said before on my previous reviews of their work. That is not a bad thing. If a band spends time refining a sound, they will most certainly reach the pinnacle of that sound. This is where Amon Amarth was with this album.
