Formed in 2005 by Andrew Gillon (Abominator, Bestial Warlust) and Damon Bloodstorm (Bestial Warlust, Kutabare), Cemetery Urn began taking shape during many meetings at Melbourne's bars throughout that year. A dark vision of a new force in death metal emerged from the alcoholic haze. This vision took on a more solid form with the recruitment of the legendary drummer Matt "Skitz" Sanders (ex-Sadistik Exekution, ex-Destroyer 666).
Recording and mixing sessions took place between February and June of 2007, resulting in the birth of a new, monstrous entity that stands both rooted in the past and burning with creative hellfire for the future. Cemetery Urn's brutal sound remains untamed and independent to this violent day.
With echoes of Bestial Warlust’s deadly war metal noise haunting the streets once more, the time has come to keep your doors locked and your virgin daughters at home!
