AT THE GATES - With Fear I Kiss The Burning Darkness (CD w/ Bonus Tracks)
Sweden | Melodic Death/Gothenburg
Detailed Description
Sweden's At the Gates formed in 1990 and quickly became a cornerstone of the Gothenburg metal scene. Between 1990 and 1996, the band released four highly successful and influential studio albums before disbanding. They reformed in 2007 and have since enjoyed a series of successful reunion tours around the world.
One of the standout albums in their career, With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness, was originally released in 1993. Widely regarded as a milestone, the album features complex melodic arrangements that retain a dark and brutal edge, infused with subtle black metal overtones. The poetic and philosophical lyrics complement the tracks perfectly. Additionally, the album includes a guest appearance by Matti Kärki of Dismember, adding to its unique appeal.
