Zuul, one of the rising stars in American heavy metal, is set to release their powerful new album To the Frontlines. Following their debut Out of Time and the limited 7" Howl of the Wolf, bassist Bob says the band is excited for fans to hear the new record, which combines their signature sound with faster, more varied tracks.
The album features a re-recorded version of “Skullsplitter” and draws on classic European heavy metal influences. While they’ve covered New Wave of British Heavy Metal tracks in the past, guitarist Mike "The Butcher" Bushur shares that this album sticks to original songs, allowing them to focus on fresh riffs.
After touring with High Spirits and Chapstik, Zuul tightened their live sound and enjoyed a strong response on the road. Their single, Howl of the Wolf, was a fan favorite recorded in a professional studio, but To the Frontlines keeps their raw, self-produced edge.
Though popular in Midwest cities like St. Louis and Chicago, Zuul’s core fanbase is in Europe, and To the Frontlines is sure to expand their following even further.
