Die Hards Only

A very interesting CD...if you're a die hard SLAYER/HANNEMAN fan you'll definitely want this. You can hear were the finished songs came from. If you're expecting to hear finished versions of these songs you will be dissappointed. I'm glad I got it. Only 4 stars because of the sound quality but it was mastered of a cassette. So it can only be as good as the master tape. Again if you are a die hard I would suggest you pick this up!

The Back to Black vinyl edition of Live Undead/Haunting the Chapel is a high quality reissue of early, classic Slayer. Packaging: quality print reproduction on a heavy sleeve complete with gatefold featuring the lyrics on one side and the cover for Haunting the Chapel on the other. The Vinyl: Sonics are good. It sounds better than the original Live EP but lets face it, it is not going to win any sound quality awards.. but that was never the point. The record itself is a nice purple/pink translucent which is sort of funny.. but I dig it. For the price, this is a fab reissue. It states inside that it was remastered 1993 which is the same info as the Blood Splattered Vinyl editions Metal Blade released a few years ago. As soon as I made the sound comparisons my wife made me turn it off...
