Limited to 500 total (250 black and 250 orange vinyl).
At the beginning of 1980's four bands from the same town by the names of Radium, Race Against Time , Paralex and later, Hell formed what was known as the East Midlands Band Cooperative. Put together to share gig costs , recording space and perhaps musical ideas the bands rehearsed and gigged within their small geographic location. Each band was able to squeeze out just one vinyl appearance before dissappearing, some to rise from the dead, some not. This is the story of Radium.
Before receding into obscurity the band was able to release on their own Isotope label the ?Through the Smoke 7_ which showcased three tracks in their dark but aggressive style. The true shame was they had at least a dozen incredible tracks that never made it to the studio, namely ?Into the Grave,? ?Satan?s Hideaway,? ?Doomed to Die,? ?Through the Smoke? and many others. Luckily a gig was professionally recorded at recently found after 32 years gathering dust.
The material here show that Radium were among the heaviest of the NWOBHM movement. Fans of WFG/PA/MOTORHEAD/KILLER and VENOM will find interest here.
