GRAVELAND - Hour Of Ragnarok (12" LP on Clear Vinyl w/ Black Splatter)
Poland | Black, Pagan/Viking
Detailed Description
Red lightning emerged in the dark! The ground trembled as torn by Fenrir's fiery claws. Under the ice and rock, the beast, trapped ages ago, broke the fiery chains. The Gods trembled, fear filled their hearts. Flames soared up into the heavens. The roar of a rabid wolf resounds with the voice of a thousand exploding volcanoes! There is no time to say goodbye or to take a last look at the sunset. The inevitable end is coming, the final battle, and no more dawn will come. Fenrir's claws tore the matter apart, fangs bit the barriers between worlds, burning venom like crawling fiery serpents penetrating and weaving space, igniting the flames of destruction. Destiny comes with the roar and thunder of unknown weapons. Thousands of lightning bolts light up the scorched battlefield! The Gods strike, and with them their faithful armies! Fenrir's eyes glow with hatred hotter than a thousand Suns! Steel melts in this glow, turns brave hearts to ashes. The destroyer's claws and fangs, like the furies of doom, conduct a deadly orchestra of destruction. This is the hour of Ragnarok, the twilight symphony. This is the beginning of the last unfinished story, before the end of time, before the end of light and all life! Here is the last breath of light written in a word that will be annihilated tomorrow. Ragnarok has come! On the threshold of the coming Ragnarok, Graveland comes to you armed with a new full-length album, with music that was created from the ashes of past battles. The new songs that revived like a phoenix from legends and myths and the most epic Graveland works such as "Thousand Swords" are a continuation of this style of the band. Epic Pagan Metal! Here's the music to prepare you for Ragnarok! Music from the beginning of the history of Graveland, when it was recorded in a full line-up! A sword, arrow and spear held in a strong hand, hardened in sweat, blood and battle. "Hour of Ragnarok" was forged by a three-person line-up. Three artisans of war weapons took care of it: Rob "Darken" - vocals, guitars, keyboards, Skyth - bass, Ahrin - drums. The songs for the album were created during last three years, but it was 2020 when the work gained momentum. It took a long time to compose and record the symphonic back tracks that makes up the epic background in music. This is a development of an idea that you could have already heared on the album "1050 Years of Pagan Cult". The album was recorded in the Italian studio Rocketbooster!
