The Dutch occult duo The Devil's Blood, consisting of chief songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Selim Lemouchi along with his sister, vocalist F, return with The Thousandfold Epicentre, an atmospheric and theatrical 11-track black arts revival that evokes the retro sounds of '60s psychedelia and '70s hard/progressive rock. The duo even manages to channel the disparate sounds of forebearers like Jefferson Airplane and Hawkwind on the soaring tracks "On the Wings of Gloria," "Cruel Lover," "The Madness of Serpents" and the profound "Feverdance," all with an ethereal and hypnotic style that is delightfully their own. The set was produced with the help of Pieter Kloos at Void Studios (Eindhoven, The Netherlands).
