The origins of BLACK SHEPHERD trace back to 1983 with the formation of BEELZEBUB. By 1984, the band adopted the name BLACK SHEPHERD. Early in 1985, bassist Willy Verbelen joined, finalizing the lineup. During their demo years, BLACK SHEPHERD shared stages with renowned bands like Onslaught, Kreator, and Angeldust. In February 1986, they released the demo United Evil Forces, followed by a deal with Punk Etc. in 1988 to record their debut LP, Immortal Aggression. In 1989, Yvan took over bass and vocal duties for the band’s final demo, leading up to their last performance in Zaandijk, Holland, in October 1989, before they disbanded.
