ACHERON - Rites Of The Black Mass (VIC Records) (CD - Jewel Case)
United States | Death/Black
Detailed Description
ACHERON, founded in 1988 by vocalist, bassist, and songwriter Vincent Crowley (formerly of Nocturnus), made their mark with a series of impactful demos before recording their seminal debut, Rites of the Black Mass, in 1992. This classic was captured at Morrisound Studios with the legendary Scott Burns (Death, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, etc.). The reissued debut has been meticulously remastered by Tom Palms (Phlebotomized), with the artwork and booklet fully restored. The booklet includes extensive liner notes and an interview with Vincent Crowley conducted by Wannes Gubbels (Pentacle, ex-Asphyx, ex-Soulburn). Additionally, the release features a bonus 2-track promo from 1990.
