Warriors of Ice, produced by Glen Robinson, includes highlights from the classic period of the original Voivod line-up, featuring three of the four original band members (vocalist Dennis "Snake" Belanger, drummer Michel "Away" Langevin and bassist Jean-Yves "Blacky" Theriault), with guitarist Dan "Chewy";Mongrain (of Martyr and Gorguts) filling in for the deceased "Piggy" This live album covers most of their career, including all of their acclaimed signature songs; from early fan favorites "Voivod" and "Nuclear War" to "Tribal Convictions" and their cover of early Pink Floyd's "Astronomy Domine". A few new songs are included in the line-up as well. "Warriors of Ice" is a must for diehard fans and great starting point for the "uninitiated".
