The fourth album of chaotic aural intensity from Canada's own Gorguts was released in 2001. "From Wisdom To Hate" features eight raging tracks as punishing as they are complex. Joining the band for this album was guitarist Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain, who had his own technical death metal band (Martyr) prior to his current stint in Voivod, and whose performance is a highlight of this album. Luc Lemay never disappoints, and few walk away from "From Wisdom To Hate" feeling unfulfilled.
