Repress of Fides Inversa’s 2020 full-length album Historia Nocturna, available on heavy galaxy-colored vinyl. Includes a printed inner sleeve and booklet. Limited to 300 copies.
It has been three years since Fides Inversa last emerged with new material—the ambitious two-song, 20-minute Rite of Inverse Incarnation, released under the auspices of the World Terror Committee—and another three years before that since their previous full-length, the critically acclaimed Mysterium Tremendum et Fascinans. But Fides Inversa have never been a band to rush their craft. Each release is a carefully conjured work of black magick, summoned only when the time is right.
Founding duo Void and Omega remain the unshakable core of the band, calling upon chosen collaborators only when the creative spark demands it. With Historia Nocturna, they return with a renewed vision—an album shaped by the same constellation of personalities behind their previous EP. Years in the making, this new full-length presents a sound that is both aggressive and dynamic, possibly the most accomplished of their career.
Black metal in both form and philosophy, Historia Nocturna transcends genre boundaries. It is inspired by the One Grand Sabbath, nourished by nocturnal rites, solitary revelations, and dreamlike visitations. The result is a diabolic opus birthed at the crossroads—eternally sustained by the forces of opposition and transgression.
Enhanced by arcane and evocative artwork from Iza, and boasting a powerful production that is sharp, clear, and thunderous, Historia Nocturna stands as a masterwork in the Fides Inversa canon.
