Der Kaiser in dem Berge" is not a new album by Absurd, but a collection of previously unreleased songs from the band's first phase, in which Dark Mark Doom was solely responsible for music and lyrics. After Doom decided to stop the band in 1999, it seemed for a long time that these songs were lost to the public. It was all the more important to close this gap. The album, recorded in 2023, now consists of songs by Doom that we have kept as true to the original as possible, as well as three new compositions.
