ONWARD were a frontrunner on the echelon of bands proudly carrying the classic US Power Metal this side of the Millenium. Following in the steps of the classic USPM acts such as OMEN, HELSTAR, FATES WARNING, JAG PANZER, LIEGE LORD, ATTACKER, TITAN FORCE, SLAUTER XSTROYES, WARLORD, and alongside fellow peers STEEL PROPHET, DESTINY'S END, NEW EDEN, CRESCENT SHIELD, SKULLVIEW, CAULDRON BORN, TWISTED TOWER DIRE, etc. etc. This is the 4-track analog pre-production demos Toby Knapp and Michael Grant did in preparation of what should have been the 3rd ONWARD album. Unfortunately, internal band tensions, as well as label issues prevented this from hapening, and the band folded before able to record it properly. Now, 23 years later, it is time to revisit those recordings and let an entire new generation to experience the awesome timeless music hidden within. Here's what Toby had to say: "I've listened to the new version and it's really good! Pure Loudness worship in the riff department and Michael Grant (R.I.P.) sounds fantastic. One thing a few don't understand is this was our pre-studio demo- just Mike and I doing preliminary work. It's not an official album with poor production. It's 4 track analog demos I decided to make available after we disbanded."
