This release compiles the first three demos from 1989 and 1990, along with two compilation tracks from 1991, by this Swedish band known for their dark, heavy death metal. The early demos leaned toward a death/thrash sound, but by late 1990, the band shifted direction with the recording of "Cremation" and "Worlds of Nothingness." These tracks marked a departure from their earlier work, embracing a heavier, downtuned death metal style reminiscent of Rottrevore and Autopsy. "Cremation" was later featured on the Projections of a Stained Mind compilation (CBR Records) in 1991.
Members of Macrodex went on to form notable bands like Crypt of Kerberos, At the Gates and House of Usher.
