United States | Folk/Black
Detailed Description
Print Location: Front Only
"Tales of Gold Fever" is a blackened troll metal opus that compiles the best ingredients of the genre, keeping the listener on their toes throughout the entire album. Besides being heavily influenced by Eastern European motifs and upbeat dance-like melodies, this album is blended with a variety of medieval instruments accompanied by ethnic female vocals and memorable choruses which makes this record appealing on many different levels. To tell their story, Trollgrad takes you back to the year of 1849, as they are surrounded by the events of the gold rush migration. During their journey, they unveil 8 tracks of perfectly twisted anthems, delivering a solid 50 minute spin. Make no mistake about the bands geographic location. Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Trollgrad is an alliance of Russian, French, and American forces and just like their European based counterparts, Trollgrad brings you the same quality of songwriting and musicianship, including an outstanding production, done by Finland's best mix and mastering engineers, Samu Oittinen [Korpiklaani, Insomnium] and Mika Jussila [Nighwish, Eluveitie].
