Yet, commercial considerations seem unlikely for a band where the lead singer and founder is also the label head. After all, this is death metal, not chart-topping hits. However, the allure of a poster featuring the cover art might justify acquiring a physical copy.

Musically, Avulsed delivers another potent dose of their robust death metal, unabashedly drawing parallels with the weighty sounds of Swedish giants like Dismember and Vomitory. Dave Rotten's vocals exude metaphorical shreds of flesh, complemented by the band's relentless battery and atmospheric nuances that lend credibility to the themes. The "eaten by aliens in space" concept, though lacking cliched extraterrestrial ambience or samples, finds expression through the eerie guitar leads intertwining with 'Vile Evil Rotted Over'. Despite the seeming incompatibility of heavy death metal with the term "atmospheric," the intermittently pulverizing riffs and eerie solos create a gruesome and uncanny ambiance. The vivid, savage roars evoke imagery reminiscent of the brutality in the Alien franchise.

In both 'Vile Evil Rotted Over' and 'Intergalactic Gore Wars,' the latter adhering to a more classic structure, Avulsed delivers a compelling sonic experience. While the necessity of this release may be a subjective decision, the content itself is unlikely to disappoint, offering a visceral journey into the realms of intense death metal.
