This long-forgotten band from the N.W.O.B.H.M. has resurfaced for the first time since the 1980s. Originally known as HEAVY THUNDER, they quickly adopted the name SLAYER, making them the very first band with that iconic moniker. This album includes tracks from their SLAYER era, as well as when they transformed into DRAGONSLAYER. Despite their talents, SLAYER/DRAGONSLAYER never secured a record deal, except for one official 3-song 7" Single/E.P. release in 1984 under the DRAGONSLAYER name. This release combines their work from their 1982 Demo, 1984 7" Single, and 1986 Demo, presenting these songs in their original quality for the first time ever. It's a testament to an overlooked band in the underground N.W.O.B.H.M. scene. With clear early JUDAS PRIEST influences and hints of SCORPIONS, UFO, DEEP PURPLE, and BLACK SABBATH, their outstanding songwriting features high vocals, catchy riffs, and memorable choruses—a true embodiment of N.W.O.B.H.M. For the first time ever, DRAGONSLAYER proudly presents what can be considered their very first album, though it's more like a double album!
