Detailed Description
Celebrate the 11-Year Anniversary Edition of this long-unavailable EP, now back with a special release. This edition includes four bonus tracks and a newly written essay by Kvarforth, offering insight into the featured songs. The EP has been mastered to perfection by Andy La Rocque in December 2022 and features refined artwork by Tuomas Tahvanainen and Nucleart Design. Limited to 1000 copies, this edition is a must-have for fans of the band.

"Lots of Girls Gonna Get Hurt" features cover songs from Katatonia, Kent, Imperiet, and Poets of the Fall. According to SHINING's founder and frontman Niklas Kvarforth, the EP, originally released on CD by Spinefarm Records on May 16th, does not signify a change in direction for the band. It was recorded concurrently with the band's eighth album, which remains untitled. The EP represents some of the music that the members of SHINING enjoy and listen to, showcasing their diverse musical tastes.

Kvarforth explained that the decision to release an EP of covers was not meant to indicate a new direction for SHINING or provide a preview of their upcoming album. He emphasized that like most musicians, the band members have eclectic tastes and enjoy a variety of music genres. The EP includes six covers, with four selected for release. Kvarforth acknowledged that some fans who prefer a narrow musical spectrum may not appreciate the EP, but stated that this is of no concern to the band.
