2 years on from the third album "Eternal" Ruadh returns with the 4th entitled "1296". Following on from previous releases this album is again built around a concept, this time from arguably the most important period of Scottish history. '1296' saw the Sack of Berwick and the beginning of English invasion of Scotland in what is known as the first wars of Independence. The album is 6 tracks built around the people and events of this period with some noted absences due to the obvious limitation to tell a story in this medium without it being excessively long. This is an album, not a book, so it won't map the entire multiple-decade conflict but an abbreviated version of history.
