A masterpiece of South American death metal from the Peruvian cult band ANAL VOMIT, their 1997 demo, originally released only on cassette, is now reissued on noble vinyl format, complete with a rare 1999 rehearsal. ANAL VOMIT, formed in 1992, quickly became a cult sensation in Peru. Though their fame spread beyond Peruvian borders, particularly within the Americas, it was ten years after their formation that LEGION OF DEATH RECORDS honored them with a 7" EP. European fanzines like DESECRATION OF VIRGIN helped spread their name further after the millennium.
Now, 26 years later, Dunkelheit Produktionen celebrates their roots with a 12" reissue of the classic third demo, "Into Eternal Agony," on side A. The flip-side features an unreleased rehearsal recorded in 1999, two years after the EP. This demo marked a shift in the band's sound, showcasing a more dominant Latin American death metal influence while retaining the violent approach of their earlier work. Tracks like "Slaved Mind" and the title song "Into Eternal Agony" exemplify this evolution, drawing inspiration from Peruvian legends like HADEZ and MORTUORIO, as well as Brazilian masters SARCOFAGO and HOLOCAUSTO.
The stomping drums of Tonyn Destructor, the hellish riffs of Roy Noizer, and the powerful vocals of Manfred Beingolea (who was a member from 1997 to 1999) embody the unmistakable style of South American metal. This reissue includes a cover of HADEZ's immortal song "Avern's Goddess," paying homage to their influence and legacy.
