KRISIUN - Arise From Blackness (12" LP on Red Vinyl)
Brazil | Brutal Death
Detailed Description
KRISIUN require no introduction. For nearly 35 years now, the power-trio have come to define Brazilian death metal, and are among the country’s most renown and influential bands – rivaling the likes of Sarcofago and early Sepultura, even. While KRISIUN’s first three albums – Black Force Domain, Apocalyptic Revelation, and Conquerors of Armageddon – are widely (and rightfully) regarded as the band’s most legendary recordings, their Curse of the Evil One debut demo (from 1990!) and successive Unmerciful Order mini-album from ’94 laid the foundation for a sound unmatched and unrivalled in extremity, intensity, and sheer evil. In fact, one could even argue that both recordings – and Unmerciful Order, specifically – even eclipse that perfect trifecta for the embodiment of ancient death metal EVIL. As such, both recordings (plus unreleased era-relevant bonus track) were collected on the aptly titled Arise From Blackness collection, originally released in 2012. Absolutely DEFINITIVE, from beginning to end: if you are a false, do not entry!
Tracks 1-7, 9 taken from "Unmerciful Order" EP.
Tracks 10-13 taken from "Curse of the Evil One" Split.
