Forbidden Tomb's album "Templum Impiorum," released in November 2020, has been gaining recent online attention for its raw and harsh qualities, reminiscent of 1990s second-wave black metal. Hailing from South Tangerang, Indonesia, the project surprises with its icy and forbiddingly grim sound, evoking the realms of Thule. The primitive, lo-fi abrasion of the six songs, featuring screechy banshee ghost vocals and gritty guitars, creates an urgent and chaotic energy. Despite simple structures, the album showcases confidence, simplicity, and the potential for Forbidden Tomb to emerge as a rough black metal gem in the future.
