Svet is a Hellenic black metal solo-project formed in 2018 by Athanasios Papangelis. The name means "Light" in Russian. Svet's music is mostly atmospheric with melancholic and depressive melodies. The lyrics are based on the spiritual journey of man from darkness to light and towards self-knowledge and freedom, having as main idea the allegory of Plato's cave and the ancient Hellenic philosophy in general. Svet is the only musical project of Athanasios at the moment.
