Celebrating 26 fierce years in the scene, the band delivers their heaviest and most refined work yet. BLOOD RED THRONE was founded by guitarist Daniel “Dod” Olaisen during his time with Satyricon in the ‘90s, and he's still leading the charge. Drummer Freddy “The Shred” Bolsø rejoined the band in 2013, Ivan “Meathook” Gujic (guitar) has been on board since 2010, Stian “Clammy Hackett” Gundersen (bass) joined in 2018, and Sindre Wathne Johnsen took over on vocals in 2023.
Olaisen describes the album as “a blend of groove and brutality," with lyrics loosely inspired by Dante's Inferno and its nine circles of torment. Each track offers its own hellish depth, inviting listeners to interpret the journey for themselves. BLOOD RED THRONE is here to stay, unrelenting and ready to carve their legacy even deeper.
