There are some albums that you straight-up need to own. Not owning them is akin to embarrassment, and having a downloaded version on your mp3 isn't quite anything worth bragging about either. It needs to be on your shelf and take priority over 99% of the rest of the material on there. "Dethrone the Son of God" is one such album, and now that it's finally been given a proper re-release with the songlist in correct running order and a somewhat more dignified overall treatment, you've no excuse whatsoever to not own and cherish this. You don't, nothing is good enough to forgive you not having this! See what early American black metal was before it became the might force it now is. Raw, ugly, dirty, and as savage as anything that has come after it more than a decade and some change later! Out of the ashes of the might Profanatica came Havohej, and now both bands remain healthily active for all of us to rejoice! (FA)
