A long time ago there was a guitar player named Jack Starr he had already left the group he started named Virgin Steele and was playing in his own band called Burning Starr. When they rehearsed it was usually to learn and created fairly intricate songs with precise arrangements in the neo classical style that Jack helped to create. But strangely enough Jack and the boys would love to start rehearsals by playing thrash music like Ace of Spades by Motorhead or just making up songs on the spot usually with lyrics about death and destruction ,one day Jack had an idea that those made up songs full of anger and passion should be on a record so he approached Barry T the boss of Dutch East India Records and Napalm and said he wanted to do a thrash record but not under their own names because it would confuse fans and the music was very different from what Burning Starr was known for. Instead they would use psuedonyms inf fact Jack was called Lucifer on the album which he was not happy about but it was done in the spirit of good fun and metal insanity and so it was kept. Another interesting note is that some of these songs that were created on the spot like Evil Never Sleeps have now been recorded on official Burning Starr records and have become fan favorites of the live shows. He asked the mighty Joe Hasselvander to play drums and present day Burning Starr bass player to play bass, as it turned out Joe had some very heavy originals of his own and they went to a recording studio with no rehearsals and recorded the album in 2 days!!! Now thirty years later there are metal fans that love the passion and fury of this recording and Jack Joe and Ned will tell anyone that it is them on the recording and they are actuall very proud to have made this record,so listen to this remastered gem very loud and go back in time with us to a time when thrash was born and musicians were not afraid to crank it up!
