Review from Legion of Black Metal Forum: "Der St_rmer are back yet again with another NSBM offering and one I waited to hear for almost a year now. A friend in greece told me the album had run into pressing problems due to the extreme nature of a cover that the band wanted to originally use on the album, hence this album suffered an annoying delay. Der St_rmer are very very angry at the world and what they see as racial injustices being inflicted upon the white race, well whatever to that. Musically however this album is quite amazing. The tempo does not let up for a single second all the way through this disc and is pretty much what we have come to expect from this greek horde. The Blood Calls For W.A.R had some slower songs to break up the pace but this album doesn't at all... it's pure mayhem from start to finish. As usual with every Der St_rmer album there is the somewhat cheesy audio samples to start each song (usually highly racist) before the music comes powering in. I never felt these samples added anything positive to Der St_rmer's music but it seems they are pretty much insistent on trying to hammer home their messages of hate and racial inequality. Der St_rmer once famously said that with them it's politics first and music secondary or something very close to that. Be that as it may they always seem to release good albums and A Banner Greater Than Death is no exception to that rule. All in all a very strong release from Der St_rmer and fans of their previous albums should definatley get this. If NS themes in music offends then you should most definatley avoid this album because in reality it has no other purpose than propoganda."
