Possibly the greatest black metal album of all time. Harsh, lo-fi and cold, Darkthrone's Transilvanian Hunger set a standard that no other band has ever achieved. If for some reason you haven''t heard this album yet, BUY IT NOW.

Title:
remaster tracks sound great...but...BUYER BEWARE!
Comments:
I received my vinyl copy which is a #75 of 1000 yesterday via mail of this IMO bm masterpiece. The 180G black vinyl is nice and the remaster of the actual tracks sound great, but I was very surprised and extremely disappointed when I found out that every track is faded out at the end. That''s right, faded out! The 9-10 second pauses at between songs are no longer there either that we all that are fans of this album grew to know and love. As one of my favorite bm albums of all time, I feel that all parts of the audio should have been left in tact. Those spaces and original endings were put there for a reason and I feel that those pauses and sloppy stops to the source tape added a certain level of character and drama which set the next songs to come up perfectly. I wish that they would have just remastered this and left everything in tact. I have the 2003 CD digipack from Peaceville which is great, but I always wanted a copy of this classic on vinyl. Buyer beware if this comes up available again.
