For those who remember the once-mighty Abominog, their music and memories live on. The band started in 1988 in a basement with the original lineup: Keith Lyons on guitar, Chris Yuastella on vocals, Pete Reid on bass, and Juan Figueroa on drums. After Juan left, Eddie Lang joined, and the band recorded their first demo, Resting in Your Grave, in April 1990 at Inner Ear Studios. The recording was raw, rough, and full of metal mayhem—just the way they intended.
Abominog played their first live show at the BBQ Iguana in Washington, DC, a performance that became one of their most memorable. After the demo, Eddie left the group, and King Fowley stepped in on drums while they recorded their second demo, Dark Museum.
Leslie "Oz" Oswald eventually joined as the drummer, bringing a new energy to the band. They recorded Human Disgrace, some of their fastest music to date. Later, they returned to Inner Ear Studios to record Chaos Unleashed in 1995, but shortly after, Keith left, leading to the band’s disbandment.
