The ultra speed bunch known as MoRSüRE first came together during mid 1981 with Franck Tadic (drums) and Eric Sanson (bass) as nucleus soon joined by Arnaud (guitar) and Pascal (vocals). Two years later Franck and Eric had to look around for new members as they had developed at this point their own vision on how MoRSüRE had to sound like. An axe guitar team was recruited, StOphane and Thierry, but this experience didn't last long as StOphane soon got out of the band. Mid 1983 saw also the band crossing hatchets with VENOM as the trio were on a promotion trip in Paris, the U.K. demonic bunch jamming with MoRSüRE but also with DEMON EYES- another young act from the Sannois/ Argenteuil area and extremely good friends with MoRSüRE. New axeman, Thierry, knew a singer thru his previous performances in different local acts so Didier was called up to the ranks despite the reservations from the central characters -Eric having done the singing job since the departure of the former singer- as they had the feeling that a singer could eventually limit the speed they wanted to come with but much to their surprise, Didier just wanted to sing on faster material!Armed with that new line up, the band entered Le Marais studio in Paris during early September 1984 for two days and cut a four track demo simply titled "Morsüre". The four trackers featured the following gems, "M.A.D.", "Morsüre", "Neither Pity, Nor Remorse" and "L'irrOmOdiable" (a song based on a text by the poet, Charles Baudelaire). Simply a selection of impressive, accomplished compositions although it's obvious that the drumming department could improve speedwise. It didn't take long before that tape started to circulate in the underground Metal scene, as a result the band started to receive worldwide mail and was getting a few lines in influential publications at the time such as Kick Ass Monthly, Blackthorn and Metal Forces"
Still the band felt they were limited by Thierry's axework, while being very inspired and a departure from the traditional Metal writing style, his soloing was considered as the low point. The band started their search for somebody who was capable to share the same philosophy in musical extremism and who was able to fulfill the guitar department, so by early 1985, ex-METAL GODS guitarist, Laurent Allery, joined the band. At that point the band was working on details for a possible deal and the release of a mini LP with Mausoleum Records but the Belgium based label was close to go bankrupt so in the end the foursome ended up signing a deal with Devil's/ Madrigal records, a French based label who had already issued quite a few albums from new French Heavy Metal acts. By July 1985 MoRSüRE were entering Le Garage studio in Paris -a well known studio used by big names in the music business, "Acceleration Process" appeared a couple months later and basically continued where their demo had left off" except the drumming was done with electronic drums, something that had never been done by any other kick ass Metal band before" and never has been done after! Still the band were quite disappointed by the final result as the mixing was literally a sabotage comparing to the original recording. Fact is that the studio was used all day and night long, MoRSüRE recording during the night and a pop act recording during the day, and when it was mixing time, the man at the board used the tuning of the pop band for MORSüRE's material! Do not search any longer why they wrote a song called "No Moral"! Still, controversy and skepticism in the press mainly arose right away but also in the audience about the fact that the tapes had been accelerated in the studio but while Franck's drumming was an achievement 20 years ago in terms of speed, his performance has been outspeeded numerous times by now. Also, they decided to write half of their songs in French and the other half in English, the songs in English suffered terribly, with grammatical all over them. Obviously, the band took their original French lyrics and translated them directly to English.
The band still managed to play two local gigs in his whole history with French Punk acts (one being with HEIMAT LOS), somehow they had more to share with Punk than with Metal and the atmosphere that surrounds Metal.
Shortly after the album release the band broke up as they simply couldn't share the same vision on the upcoming material, each member going their own way, although Eric and Laurent did continue for a short while to work together.
In recent times, Eric and Franck have crossed paths again and they've talked about eventually writing some new MoRSüRE material". For now enjoy what you have in your hands. Too many people have simply never given it the chance it deserved simply because they were basing their judgments on crappy reviews or preconceptions. MoRSüRE really deserved a way better treatment. first French Thrash act ever and still one of the most ripping one worldwide to this day.
